What I Feel When I Look Up At The American Flag
When I look up at the American flag I feel
as if patriotism is surging through my veins. I feel the strength and determination of our country and its hopes.
I see the stars which symbolize that each and every state of this great nation is united under one equal and justified form
of government. That every human being that pledges underneath our great American flag is not just saying these words
because they must, but because they choose to live a free democratic life in this great country and that they pledge their
loyalty to the people of it as well. I see the white and the blue representing the dignity and the compassion that we
share with others.
It symbolizes that those who helped us within
the past will recieve aid from us in the future and that they can sleep safetly at night knowing that we will spring into
action when they are in need. But I also see the red, symbolizing the brave people who lost their lives for our great
nation. The people who strived for the better of all those who believed in them and those who denied their loyalty to
them as well. So when I look up at the American Flag and hold my hand on my heart to pledge my alligence, I am doing
so for my country, my people, the lost, and everyone in need. What I feel when I look up at the American Flag is importance.
